PL Series FAQ
Question: In the event there is a failure within the PL device, what keeps the higher input voltage of the PL from appearing on the output and causing damage to the customers system?
Answer: The PL product has been designed so that if there is a fault or short circuit within the converter the output voltage will always drop to a low value of 0.9 VDC. In effect the unit goes into hiccup mode until the short is removed and the output voltage recovers.
