Lambda Announces Mini-Size 5W to 15W PC-Mount Power Supplies

SAN DIEGO, CA (Jan 22, 2008) - Lambda has introduced its new KPSA-family of pc-mountable AC-DC power supplies designed to meet the demand for small, lightweight and low cost power supplies.

These single output supplies are available with output power ratings of 5W, 10W and 15 watts and output voltages including 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, and 24-volts (custom voltages also available). They operate with a very wide input range of 85-264Vac and in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +70°C (convection cooled).

Three mini-sizes are available depending on the output wattage and range from 1.28 x 2.17 x 0.83 inches for the 5W units to 1.77 x 2.75 x 0.79 inches for the 15W models.

These mini pc-board mount supplies are ideal for applications including factory automation, telecom, datacom, instruments, printers and motor drives. Designers will be pleased to know that no external components are needed for these supplies.

Standard features include high efficiency, overcurrent and overvoltage protection. Compliances include UL/CSA/EN60950-1 Safety Class II (no input ground wire needed), CE Mark, EN55022-B, FCC Class B EMI (conducted and radiated), EN61000-X immunity and RoHS-compliant.
