Lambda NV Series Power Supplies Now Meet U.S. Military
MIL-STD-810E Standards for Shock and Vibration
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 28, 2006) - Lambda has announced that after extensive testing, its
compact NV-175 and NV-350 families of configurable power supplies now comply with the U.S.
military's stringent MIL-STD-810E standards for shock, transit drop, bench handling, basic
transportation and shipboard vibration.
The tests, which included subjecting regular production units to 40G for shocks, are
designed to simulate the exposure of units to the demanding conditions of a military
environment. Other tests included a 1.2-meter drop test on 26 faces, corners and edges of the
power supply and a vibration sweep test of 10 cycles between 10 and 500Hz. Following the
tests, each unit was visually, mechanically and functionally inspected and found to be in full
working order.
The NV-175 supplies are available with a choice of one to four outputs and come in the
industry-standard 3- x 5-inch footprint. Cover and internal fan options can also be supplied.
The NV-350 units can be delivered with up to six outputs and are suitable for mounting in a 1U
chassis.
Lambda's NV models are CE marked in accordance with the LVD (Low Voltage Directive)
and carry a host of environmental and safety agency approvals, including RoHS compliance,
EN55022 Class B, UL60950-1, CSA22.2 No.60950-1, EN60950-1, IEC60950-1, EN61010-1 and
EN60601-1.
The LZSa500-3 is equipped with remote on/off, remote resistance or voltage programming,
user-adjustable over-voltage protection, DC good, inverter fail, current-share, and a 200kHz
synchronization signal.
NV series power supplies are available now, with prices starting at $89 each for a singleoutput
180-watt configuration in 100-unit quantities. More information can be found on
