Lambda Adds New Series of Low-Noise, Fan-Cooled, 200W Peak Power Supplies in Compact Package

SAN DIEGO, CA (April 05, 2006) - Lambda has introduced a series of 200-watt peak power supplies with an integral variable-speed, temperature-controlled fan. An extension of Lambda's high-technology NV-175 family, the single and multiple power supplies are ideally suited for a wide range of applications where system airflow is not available and – because of their low audible noise and compact size – for medical, light industrial, test equipment, and data communications applications.

Rated to operate from a 90VAC to 264VAC input, the versatile NV-175 is available with one to five outputs, voltages from 0.9V to 28V, and output currents up to 25 amps, depending on the output configuration. Models with the high-power 12V and 24V main channel can deliver up to 200 watts peak for one minute to drive power hungry motors and pumps.

Units with the integral fan measure just 1.6 x 3.32 x 6.4 inches and can operate at full power in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 50°C, derating to 50% at 70°C. All NV-175 models carry the CE mark; conform to UL60950-1, EN60950-1, EN60601-1 and EN61010 standards; and meet EN55022 Level B EMI with less than 300mA ground leakage current.
