Lambda Introduces RoHS-Compliant Industrial Power Supplies with 5-Year Warranty
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 11, 2005) - Lambda has introduced a family of RoHS-compliant
power supplies with a five-year warranty. The new single-output HWS series is ideal for
powering industrial equipment where high quality and long field-life is key for equipment
reliability.
The units are available in five power levels – 15, 30, 50, 100 and 150 watts – with nominal
output ranging from 3.3 to 48 volts. Each model can be adjusted up to ±20% of its nominal
voltage to accommodate non-standard system voltages.
The HWS series accepts a wide range of input voltages – from 85 to 265 VAC – and
complies with both the SEMI F47 and EN61000-3-2 harmonic correction standards.
Five different mechanical configurations are offered, ranging from 1.04 x 3.23 x 3.15
inches for the 15-watt model to 1.46 x 3.23 x 6.3 inches for the 150-watt model. All models are
only 3.23 inches high, making them suitable for 2U-rack mounting.
The new Lambda power supplies meet Class B EMI standards – radiated and conducted –
are CE marked and safety approved to UL508, UL60950, CSA60950, EN60950, EN50178
specifications. They also meet EN61000-4-X immunity standards.
The HWS series will be available in April, with prices starting at $42 in single-unit
quantities. More information can be obtained at Lambda's Web site, www.lambdapower.com.
