Lambda Introduces 1500W Industrial Power Supplies with 5-Year Warranty

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 27, 2005) - Lambda has introduced a family of 1500-watt power supplies with a five-year warranty. The new single-output HWS1500 series is ideal for powering industrial equipment used in applications where very long field-life demands high reliability.

The units are available in four nominal output voltages – 12, 15, 24 and 48 volts – and each model can be adjusted up to ±20% of its nominal voltage to accommodate non-standard system voltages. The 24-volt model has a peak current capability of 105 amps when operated with a line voltage of greater than 200VAC.

The HWS1500 series accepts a wide range of input voltages – from 85VAC to 265VAC – and complies with both the SEMI F47 and EN61000-3-2 harmonic correction standards. Remote on/off, DC good and current-share signals are standard.

The power supplies have a high-quality internal fan and can be operated in a -10°C to +70°C ambient. The units come in a compact footprint of 5 x 3.25 x 11 inches, making them suitable for mounting in a 2U rack.

The new Lambda power supplies meet Class A EMI standards (radiated and conducted), are CE marked, and are safety-approved to UL60950, CSA60950, EN60950, EN50178 specifications. They also meet EN61000-4-X immunity standards and will be RoHS-compliant beginning in January 2006.
