Lambda provides high reliability at new, improved prices.

LAMBDA LOWERS DIN RAIL POWER SUPPLY PRICES BY AS MUCH AS 17 PERCENT

SAN DIEGO (September 19, 2000) - As a result of streamlined operations and the power supply manufacturer's synergies in the Invensys family of companies, Lambda's customers are benefiting from the company's savings on production costs with lower prices on DIN rail power supplies. Recently, the company lowered the price of its NES and DRP Series power supplies by as much as 17 percent.

"The DIN rail product has benefited from a lowered cost structure achieved by a company-wide global purchasing effort by our parent company Invensys," said Michael Wagner, Director of Marketing for Lambda. "The net material savings is only one component of this process which has enabled Lambda to reposition the DIN rail product family with a cost savings passed onto our customers."

Lambda has received the UL508 rating (required for industrial control applications) for its NES and DRP Series DIN rail-mountable power supplies, an approval that allows end systems containing the power supplies to be more easily certified. The NES and DRP Series power supplies deliver from 60 to 960 watts and provide input transient protection as well as single and three-phase AC input.

According to Wagner, these power supplies are ideal for process and motor control systems and for powering sensors in monitoring temperature, level, speed and flow measurement where DIN rail mounting of supporting equipment is commonplace.

The NES/DRP Series power supplies, which offer a two-year warranty, are easily mounted on either 7.5mm or 15mm standard DIN rails. The low profile NES Series is designed specifically for cabinets where space is tight and features power factor and harmonic correction to improve power quality, line regulation, noise immunity and hold-up times. The DRP Series modules are sized to minimize DIN rail space. Both power supplies series are in compliance with IEC1000-4 (-2, -3, -4, -5, -6) and meet FCC standards for radiated and conducted EMI. The NES Series provides universal input (85 - 265 VAC), while the DRP Series accepts 110/120 and three-phase 400/480 VAC input.

The NES and DRP Series power supplies are available immediately from stock; pricing starts at $134 each in quantities of 100 depending on the model.
