Read Me File - PFE Reference Design

Lambda’s PFE AC-DC power module provides all the power train components in one compact package allowing the end user to quickly design a custom power supply.

The purpose of this reference design is to assist the engineer to design the printed circuit board and select the additional components from commonly available material in the Americas.

Available for download are pcb files allowing a “cut and paste” and quick modification to suit the end application.

This pcb design is dual use:

•	Fitting the components on the same side as the PFE module allows for fan cooling and heat sink use.  
•	Fitting the components on the opposite side to the PFE module allows for the PFE module to be conduction cooled via a customer supplied cold-plate.

Photographs are also provided of the finished design along with BOMs referencing Newark and Digi-Key part numbers.
